You'll find that there is an ongoing trend with the word 'Orchard' but how can there not be when the word itself inspires autumn vibes!
Here's our small list of coffee recipes you might like to try for the season.
1. Classic Apple Cinnamon Coffee
Ah yes, the pumpkin spice of the 90s. Before we get creative and into more playful flavours, lets put this one first. Using our Sylvan Blend you can get a wonderful taste profile here.
Recommended weight for Cafetiere per person:
- Weigh 15g of our Sylvan Blend and pour 250ml of water
- Let sit for up to 4 minutes before plunging down
Recommended weight for Espresso per person:
- Weigh 19g of our Sylvan Blend (extract time should be between 26 - 31 secs for perfect flavour profile)
Things you'll need:
- Medium Apple chopped (you can use apple syrup instead)
- 4 tablespoons of Honey (add less if you would like it less sweet)
- 2 teaspoon of Cinnamon (you can play around with this measurement, we love our cinnamon spice here!)
- Double shot of Espresso (or 1 teaspoon of Coffee Granules)
- 200ml of Water
- 150ml of Milk
Add the apples, honey, cinnamon, and water into a sauce pan on medium heat for 10 minutes, then low heat for another 5 minutes.
Remove the pan from heat and start stirring and breaking the apples until its a smooth mixture (if you have a handheld blender you can use this) then use a strainer to separate the liquid from the pulp.
Now time to brew your coffee, pour 50ml of the syrup into your milk and froth together.
You can top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of more cinnamon if you prefer!
2. The Haunted Orchard Iced Coffee
This one is a slightly less complicated version of the classic apple cinnnamon coffee. Extremely popular for a cozy and rainy morning in though, especially with our Sylvan Blend. Great balance of good coffee and that extra touch of spiced sweetness we all love when the leaves turn gold.
Things you'll need :
- Ice
- GoodNes Caramel Apple Crisp coffee creamer (or any alternative caramel apple creamer)
- Cinnamon
Once your coffee is brewed, pour over some ice with 60ml of GoodNes Caramel Apple Crisp coffee creamer and a sprinkle of Cinnamon!
3. The Orchard Crisp
This one is for those that want to get creative! Getting its name from the cider brand 'Angry Orchard', although unconventional, it is absolutely delicious paired with our Brazilian single origin Emerelda!
Recommended weight for Cafetiere per person:
- Weigh 10g of our Emerelda and pour 100ml of water
- Let sit for 4 minutes before plunging down
Recommended weight for Espresso per person:
- Weigh 19g of our Emerelda (extract time should be between 26 - 31 secs for perfect flavour profile)
Things you'll need :
- 250ml of Sparkling Apple Cider
- A Sprinkle of Chai Spice (50/50 Pumpkin Spice Powder mix + Sugar)
- 60ml of Oat milk (you can use any milk you like, we just find it pairs best with oat)
- 45ml of Maple syrup (you can use honey mixed with cinnamon if you prefer)
- Double shot of espresso (100ml if using Cafetiere)
- Large / Tall 500ml cup
Mix everything together in a cup (shaking is recommended but not necessary) before pouring it over to your large glass filled with ice.
